The sun, which had disappeared from Ericeira for many days, is back again, warmer and brighter than ever.
The blue sea and low tide, made Ericeira a special destination, on the public holiday of the 5th. of October. People flocked to Ericeira to bathe in the sea and laze in the sun , as you can see in my photo.
Those, who decided not to go to the beach, spent part of the day leaning on the wall above the harbour and admiring the magnificent scenery. Children were playing and shouting, running to and fro from the water to the sand. It was a joy to see.
Everyone is worried about the governnent plans for austerity, but without spending a lot of money why not come to our little corner of the earth to take in its beauty and try our excellent gastronomy. To keep thinking about the “Troika”does not help finacially and is also not good for our health. I can gaurantee that walking along the sea front between São Sebastião and Foz de Lizandro will help you to forget the crisis and appreciate what is beautiful.You will be enchanted by the colourful waterlilies.
